Ms. Ludo Wilson serves as the Research Ethics Administrator within the Office of Research and Development at the University of Botswana. Her primary responsibilities encompass research oversight, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. She oversees the ethics review process for undergraduate studies, post-approval oversight for biomedical and socio-behavioral research and administers the Institutional Review Board and other research ethics committees. She holds a Master’s degree in Research and Public Policy from the University of Botswana and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Science in Health Research Ethics at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She is certified by SARIMA/IPRC as a Research Administration Professional (RAP) and is a participant in the Africa Bioethics Network’s “Contemporary Bioethics in African Contexts” program 2025. Her recent outputs include presentations at Oxford Global Health & Bioethics 2025, SARIMA 2024, World Congress of Bioethics 2024, and Priorities 2024. Her research interests focus on research ethics, policy, and governance, particularly in addressing practical and structural oversight challenges to promote protection, fairness, responsiveness, and local ownership. She aspires to influence policy and enhance local ethics frameworks through research ethics and governance.
