Bio: Jainaba Sey-Sawo (PhD)
Dr. Jainaba Sey-Sawo is an Associate Professor (Reproductive Health) and Head of Department, Nursing and Reproductive Health, School of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences , University of the Gambia where she lectures in the undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs
Dr. Jainaba Sey-Sawo holds an MSc in bioethics (University of Ghana, Ghana) and serves as a member of the Gambia Government/Medical Research Council Joint Ethics Committee. She is a Co-Principal Investigator (PI) for the grant “Strengthening Capacity in Health Research Ethics and Methodology in The Gambia (#1R25TW011804-01A1),” awarded by the National Institutes of Health, Fogarty International Center, USA, 2022-2027. Jainaba conducts research, supervises theses and dissertations, and mentors students and faculty members in both public and private institutions.
