Dr Nisha K Jose is a Senior Scientist at Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) under
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi. She has her MBBS and MD in Public
Health from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India and PhD in Health Sciences
from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institue of Medical Sciences and Technology, India. She has worked
as Consultant with World Health Organization. Her research field encompasses oncology and
medical ethics. She has 50 publications in peer reviewed journals. Currently she is working as
Program Officer for Cancer Research at ICMR Headquarters. She is Principal Investigator for
two National Health Research Priority projects in Cancer. First one is an Implementation
Research Project to improve survival in breast cancer patients, which has thirteen study sites
in our country. The formative phase is over and currently the project is in implementation
phase. Second project is a clinical trial at 38 sites on therapeutics in cancer. She is program
officer for three Centre of Advanced Research projects in cancer and handling more than 50
small grant projects in cancer as program officer.
