Haihong Zhang

Haihong ZHANG, Ph.D., Dr. Zhang got her doctor's degree in Philosophy from Peking University in 2014. She has held her position as Office Director of Peking University Human Research Protection Program since then. She was appointed as the vice chair of the Peking University Institutional Review Board in 2021. Over the past decade, she has worked as an IRB professional in China, developing the Research Ethics Training Program for investigators at Peking University. She engaged substantially in the update and drafting of the two China National Ethics Review guidelines, which were issued and effective since 2023. From 2022 to 2024, she participated in the international working group as a Chinese delegate, working on revising the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki.
