Rachel Knowles

Dr Rachel Knowles works for the UK Medical Research Council (MRC; part of UKRI) where she is Associate Director for Clinical Research Policy, Ethics and Governance with responsibility for global health research ethics. She is a member of the GFBR Steering Committee. Her background is in public health medicine and paediatric epidemiology and she works part-time at University College London and NHS England. She currently chairs a university research ethics committee and has been a member of various UK health service research ethics committees since 2008.
