Duncan Collins Adam
Duncan is the Community Engagement & Partnerships Manager, Africa, at the Wellcome Trust, where he works within the Equitable Research Ecosystem team. He leads community engagement partnerships with a number of organisations including the African Health Research Institute, Kemri-Wellcome Trust Research Programme, Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Research Programme, and Science for Africa. His work focuses on ensuring that a diversity of people and perspectives play an active, reciprocal role in Wellcome’s work and global health research, with a strong interest in power structures, and in equitable, inclusive, and participatory approaches.
Duncan has a background in community engagement, participatory practice, social and human-centred design, with professional experience across the UK, Europe, Latin America, East Asia, and Africa.
