Seydou Doumbia, MD, Ph.D. is Director of the University Clinical Research Center (UCRC) and Emeritus Dean of the Medical School and Dentistry at University of Sciences, Techniques and Technology of Bamako (USTTB), Mali. For more than 25 years, Professor Doumbia has been engaged in translational research on infectious diseases and global health. He Chair the West African Consortium for Clinical research on Epidemic Pathogens, a network including Mali, Guinea Conakry, Liberia and Sierra Leone (WAC-CREP). Pr. Doumbia is Program Director of several NIH funded research grants including the West Africa International Center of Excellence in Malaria Research (ICEMR). He lead several capacity building initiatives in Africa through research training grants in public health and Research Ethics supported by the NIH’s Fogarty International Center and the World Health Organization (WHO/TDR).
