Sharon teaches at the Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya. She is one of the co-PIs on a Wellcome funded project to develop a Southeast Asia Bioethics network. She is also working on a Global Health Bioethics Network research project on ethics and governance issues in precision medicine with colleagues at Universiti Malaya. Her research interests like primarily in research ethics and global health ethics
