Joseph Ali
Joseph Ali, JD is associate professor of bioethics and international health at the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics and Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH). He has expertise in international research ethics, global health ethics, health systems governance and digital health. For nearly 20 years, he has fostered international collaborative partnerships that seek to advance understanding of and capacity to address bioethics challenges. He serves on the BSPH IRB as well as its strategic AI taskforce, and is a member of the School of Medicine Privacy Board. He’s an elected fellow of The Hastings Center, advisor to several bioethics training programs and centers, and has served on multiple WHO expert working groups.
